Foothills Nature Preserve, PaloAlto, Thursday, November 4, 2021

Thursday painters welcomed the return of Jane and were treated to spectacular clouds and fall colors on our inaugural trip to Foothills Park in Palo Alto. Foothills Park has beautiful Lake Boronda full of waterfowl and after the rains greening hills.  We had a sneak peak of Thanksgiving when we saw wild turkeys on the rolling hills. It was wonderful to see so many from the south bay in addition to our local members: Salinda, Dick, Linda W, Lin, Masako, Lisha, Helen, Janice, Brad, Lora, Susan B-G, Karen, Alison, Monique and Jane S.

Our first paintout at the formerly off-limits Foothills Nature Preserve was a great success.
Calm enough so that artist's (from left: Salinda, Dick, Janice and Monique) reflections
as well as those of the far-shore forested hillside in the lake, were an attractive subject.  
The cloud cover changed so quickly that it was a challenge to work that in too --
so I didn't even try ~ Brad Santos

Winchester Mystery House, San Jose, Thursday,October 28, 2021

We were a high spirited group of painters at Winchester Mystery House! The mystery House was decorated for All Hallow’s Eve and Dia de la Muertos. Alison, Annie, Bobbi, Caroline, Cindy, Susan B-G, Lisha, Helen, Linda N, Linda B, Claudia, Jayne, Kris, Karen, Valerie, and Dale enjoyed all of Sarah Winchester’s tricks and treats. It was a fabulous warm and sunny fall day.

Spina Farms, San Jose, Thursday, October 21, 2021

Fortunately the weather forecasters were mistaken and Thursday painters were rewarded with a warm and partly cloudy day at Spina Farms. The farm had a wide range of activities to keep both preschoolers and grown ups occupied. We had an amazing turnout, thirteen painters, (Bill, Brad, Janice, Dick, Salinda, Helen, Lisha, Iris, Claudia, Jayne, Laurie, Kris and Alison) and we painted pumpkins, corn maze, sunflowers and happy goblins! ~Alison

Portola Winery, Thursday, October 14, 2021

We had an amazing turnout at the Portola Winery! Susan BG, Masako, Annie, Claudia, Linda B, Jayne, Helen, Dick, Salinda, Lisha, Monique, Connie, Laurie, Sasha, Caroline, Alison, and Lora were treated to views of a beautiful vineyard and pond. Along with Bruno who kept close watch over his “herd”, we were serenaded by birdsong.
