If they only knew, I'm sure Jenny and Sylvia would be dismayed by how disorganized and undisciplined today's Uvas Canyon Waterfall Loop & Contour Trail Hike & Sketch was. But what can they expect with both Jane and Marilyn absent and, gasp, a man in charge? The only solution I can think of is for them to make periodic trips back to the area and lead more Hike & Sketch Paintsites themselves --- some people obviously need more training on how a proper Hike & Sketch should be conducted. Still, we had a great day of it: hot in the Valley; pleasantly cool in the shady canyon with the soothing sound of the creek and waterfalls. We were spread out over a wide stretch of the trail and painted the Upper Falls, Black Rock Falls, Basin Falls and stretches of Swanson Creek in between. Most of us managed to find each other for lunch and our critique before heading home.
