Weekend paintsites, Bernal-Gulnac-Joice Ranch, San Jose January 27, 2018

We had a record turnout of six artists including a "first timer!"  We now have celebrity artists!  Bernal Park staff was making a video about how park space can be enjoyed. They filmed Uma and Cindy painting and panned on Helen and the other painters.  The video will posted  on the Santa Clara County Park site.

Historic Downtown Campbell, Thursday, January 18, 2018

Thanks to our great weather forecaster and Paintsites co-coordinator Marilyn, we were able to squeeze in at least four hours of painting before it rained in downtown Campbell. We are also grateful to the Campbell Avenue Starbucks for letting us monopolize their outdoor seating for some great views of the town's classic architecture and the historic 130 ft. high water tower.

Emma Prusch Farm Park, San Jose, Thursday, January 11, 2018

This was the first time in recent memory that the paintsite artists painted at the same location on consecutive Thursdays.  Emma Prusch Farm Park was a wonderful place to visit again because there is so much subject material: 3 large barns plus other buildings, the original Prusch family farm house, geese, peafowl, pigs, sheep, many chickens, farm equipment, view of the Diablo Range.  It also has very easy access from both Highways 101 and I-280.  The artists seemed to say it was OK to return to a good site, because most of the artists who painted there on Jan 4 returned to paint again on Jan 11.

For more information about the park see:
