Hidden Villa, Los Altos Hills, March 29, 2018

Many thanks to Hidden Villa staff for welcoming us back for yet another wonderful day of painting. Plein air painting is not new to the Hidden Villa site; the founder Frank Duveneck's father was a master plein air painter and the SCVWS paintsites were honored to continue the tradition and to share the experience with school groups. In addition, our painters were treated to a special tour of the Duveneck house and were able to view Frank Duveneck senior's original artwork. Thank you Maggie for a magnificent tour.

Once a stage coach stop, the beautiful Hidden Villa property is now a preserve with plenty of subjects to paint including farm animals, farm equipment (new and rusty), barns and the beautiful mediterranean-style Duveneck home.
