Please note: Our coordinators will be traveling at various times in the coming months. Paint sites will still be scheduled but they will be reduced to approximately two locations per month from June to October 2021. Also, the Paintsites Blog will be published once a month during the same time period. Please submit one painting per month. Rengstorff House, Mountain View, June 3, 2021
Our invitation must have been lost in the mail! Thursday painters were surprised by a graduation held on Rengstorff House grounds. Perched like paparazzi in the landscape, we painted unique angles and challenged our perspective. We bid bon voyage to Jane for the summer and usher in Lora as a co- leader!

"Unfortunately, I'd already sketched my scene and started sloshing on paint when Alison, Civil Engineer and SCVWS' Paintsites coordinator, moseyed by and explained, hydrologically (?), what was happening right in front of me --- if I'd know earlier what I was looking at, I'd have placed more emphasis on the 'arched culverts' and various pipes and outlets. As it was, I was able to put just a hint of them in my painting." ~Brad |

Lora wanted to put in a figure for interest and picked a costume from the 1860's when the house was first built. |

Mountain Estate Garden, June 10, 2021
Ten Thursday painters (Brad, Janice, Lora, Dori, Lavonne, Linda B, Tiina, Jayne, Claudia, Alison), visited this Santa Cruz Mountain private garden - some for the first time. Many thanks to the efforts of our host Patti, the grounds were spectacular. In addition to the gardens, we painted sculptures, ponds and structures.

Frederick's Field, Almaden Valley, San Jose, June 17, 2021
Paintsites survivor edition 3.0
Even though the forecast had a heat advisory, power flex alert and Spare the Air declaration, there was nearly a full house at Fredericks Field. We enjoyed clear views a gentle breeze and engaged in lavender aromatherapy ! Our host treated us to fresh apricots.
Helen. Iris, Candy, Cindy, Bill, Laurie. Lora, Karen, Jayne, Kris, Claudia, Dori, Masako, and Alison were busy as the bees in the Almaden Hills.
