Municipal Rose Garden
Painting Perfection at Americas Best Rose Garden! Who doesn’t enjoy double entendres! 19 + painters enjoyed perfect weather and subject matter at “Americas Top Rose Garden.” Not an aggressive bird, squirrel or pesky rattlesnake was in sight! Thanks to “Deputy “ Lora’s herding abilities, we were able to assemble and share our perfect impressions (Alison tried to channel her inner Jane) under the Municipal Rose Garden Redwoods. With such a large turnout, we had the opportunity to hold a large banner (courtesy of Brad- Thank-you!) to send good wishes to John E in his new home in Washington!
Triton Museum
With the AQI in the moderate Yellow Zone, 14 painters enjoyed a comfortable day in the Triton Museum Grounds shade. We painted historical buildings, statues and gardens. Afterwards many viewed the works in the Salon, on display until Sept 12, featuring SCVWS artists Peter Carey and Michael Grainger.

“The San Jose Municipal Rose Garden Thursday paintsite was a beautiful day to enjoy the cooler weather and to stop and SMELL the roses. So many roses that the colors overwhelmed the eye. Hard to choose one spot. I even saw the Bluebirds of Happiness!” ~ Laurie B. |
