Weekend Paintsites, Fredericks Field--Almaden Valley June 9, 2018

Frederick's Field ia located in the rolling hills of Almaden Valley with beautiful views of the Santa Cruz Mountains. It is one of Silicon Valley's first boutique lavender farms offering a variety of lavender products. It started as a vision to create a lovely hillside garden, fruit orchard, and a special place for the founding family to gather with friends. It was influenced by their love of gardening and childhood summers gathering bouquets, harvesting fruit and vegetables, and playing games with friends in the open field next door.

Lavender has been used for thousands of years and is known for its soothing and healing properties.  What better floral herb to cultivate in fast paced Silicon Valley with our beautiful Mediterranean-like weather.  The Almaden Valley is the perfect location for lavender and an artist's delight.
