Week 8, May 3 - May 9, 2020

Thank you Paintsites artists for your wonderful submissions over the past weeks. Whatever you are doing to keep your creative spirit active while you shelter in place, please keep it up because it is working exceptionally well. This week's painting subjects range from glorious landscape or garden views, symbols of Cinco de Mayo or images of motherhood in honor of Mother's Day, while other paintings were inspired by special memories or moments.

We will continue to follow recommendations for sheltering in place and safe distancing and will not be arranging Paintsites until at least into early summer.  With that in mind, below is a reminder of blog submission guidelines:
  • Submit a digital photo of your artwork to paintsites@scvws.org. Cropped photos are preferred.
  • Include your name, the date and comments about the site or unique media notes.
  • Be creative! Some of your best subjects are in your own yard or houseplants. You may want to paint from personal photos of your travels.
  • Submissions after Saturday midnight will appear in the following week's blog.
  • One submission per member, please.

Please check the SCVWS.org website and newsletter for further updates and also all the great links and opportunities available during this time.
