7 painters received the royal treatment at Queen’s Pumpkin Patch! Plenty of fun and games and animals -ponies, goats, bunnies and baby water buffalo ( even a praying mantis) kept us company amongst the gourd-geous pumpkin patch.

Pumpkin watercolor by Lora "My focus was to try mixing greys from a triad, red, blue and yellow. Luckily this site had a large variety of colors and types of pumpkins, and there were many grey pumpkins to paint. They also had them arranged beautifully. In Ikebana, (Japanese flower arranging), there is a style called “Morimono”. It means arranging fruits and or vegetables, with or without flowers in a pleasing way. Someone at Queen’s Pumpkin Patch has a good sense of this style as there were many clusters or Morimono’s there." |
